Robin Hood, Series 2 Picture Gallery 6

Above: Deep inside Nottingham Castle the Green Man of ancient legend and England's first Rose, unite against tyrany as Robin Hood and the maid called Marian go into action!
Above: Allan A Dale on his last mission as part of Robin Hood's "merry men". Below: These days Allan takes his fashion tips from Guy of Gisborne...
Above: Harry's Hat! This idea of depicting Will Scarlet as a minstrel, no matter how brief, does in fact go back many decades. In both literature and films, Will Scarlet has mostly been depicted as a brightly clothed rogue with musical skills. Below: I wonder how long it took them to persuade Gordon Kennedy to get into that outfit!
Above: The Sheriff of Nottingham, lord of all he surveys. The Sheriff wants his cake and eat it. But as long as that cake is England shaped Robin Hood has other plans. Below: Ninja Robin Hood resolves to kill the Black Knight, Winchester.
Above: It's bad enough that Robin Hood's gang have to eat Much's food, let alone listen to him chattering on!

Nice pictures! Do you make them, then? I especially like the ones of Will, and all the "Merry Men." =)

Hi JustAgirL,

Yes I do indeed do all the pictures. I know many web sites just use those from the BBC (or mine!), but for me the whole point in doing a website is doing your own pictures, OR track down stuff which is really rare (as is the case with Clement of the Glen's great site).

I take screenshots, then put them together in Photoshop. Not bad for a guy who lives in a forest!

Great work with the pictures, I'd offer my services as a screen capper but you seem to have it covered quite well - though if you ever need help with anything just let me know, it's a good distraction from uni work and I've almost mastered the art of pressing the play/pause button continously to watch the next week previews and analyse in scary detail ^_^

I think if you look back to some of his behaviour in Series 2 he was always a bit like this.

For example, he wanted to leave Sherwood (taking Will with him), near the end of that series.

But in many ways he does have a point. If King Richard returns only Robin and Marian will actually benefit (and maybe Much of he goes back to being Robin's servant).

Hmmm, I had been thinking about that (what they'd all be left with after I mean, not about Allan, for once, lol)

I suppose Robin could probably pull some strings for them all, maybe help John return to his family or at least to see his son (I don't think he'd reconcile with his wife) or atleast do something for John, Will and Allan (beforehand anyway) in terms of 'forgiving' their outlaw status and returning them to society.

Much would become the Earl (or was it Lord) of that place from series one, or would that not count once King Richard returned? I'm sure I read somewhere he was promised something on return to England from the Holy Lands, and I suppose Robin could always just keep him around in a cushy job.

Djaq on the other hand is an escaped slave and prisoner of war (I think, or just slave) so it might be harder for her

Then again this is the Beeb's version so who knows :), certainly gets you thinking about the final episode (when it happens, which hopefully won't be anytime soon)

Could an english man marry a Saracen slave?(sorry, shipper mind overworking again, we need sleep ^_^)

Djaq's not a slave anymore, slaves could be freed and if her living freely isn't enough, robin could always say she is his slave and "free" her, just a suggestion.

True, though for the Sheriff, as he was the one to 'pay' for her so to speak, she is an escaped slave.

I doubt the Sheriff even remembers anymore so it probably wouldn't be much of an issue, but yeah, to be truely free he'd have to be the one to say she was.

Hmmm, how odd that Robin Hood's got me thinking about my lectures on early century inter-racial marriages, lol ^_^ my shipperness will be the end of me

HIya hoodies
that episode was well good wasn't it.i love Harry Lloyd he just gets fitter and fitter throughout the series and i'm so glad that he gets more to say as well coz last year he didn't hav much to say which was a great shame as he's a very good actor and we couldn't see much of him oh and he's the fittest bloke in da world

Oh and also thanx a bunch RH i'm loving those pics of Harry they're well gd and he's fit

i thought it was very interesting about how much Gisbourne still cares bout Marian coz he wasn't very happy wen she stood him up on their wedding day but now he still fancies her

i really can't believe dat Allans turned evil. coz i really like him he's my 3rd fave character- my 1st being Will and 2nd Djaq
it's a shame but it is a good storyline
Keep up da good work
luv ya!

luv amy

I really prefer Djaq's look in this series, i think her hair is much better looking now it's a little longer, although her clothes are a little odd it's an inprovement in my opinion! But it's cause last time she was trying to pull herself off as male, this years she's content to be the girl in the group which i think is good too!
